Apex Primary School is an established, Ofsted registered independent Islamic school based in Barking and Ilford in Essex. It provides a balanced education, delivering both a high quality of academic and Islamic education in an environment that nurtures the Islamic personality of its pupils.

Apex Primary School is looking for individuals who can assist in ensuring a rich and stimulating learning environment and instruct students within the developed curriculum whilst maintaining an Islamic atmosphere.Apex Primary school has a very low pupil to teacher ratio.  Our class sizes consist of a maximum of 15 children, which allows for effective teaching and pupil performance management.

Apex Primary School is looking for individuals who can assist in ensuring a rich and stimulating learning environment and instruct students within the developed curriculum whilst maintaining an Islamic atmosphere.

We are expanding the staff team and have full time vacancies in the following areas:

 KS2 TEACHER.

Some of the key responsibilities of the class teacher will include,
• Following and implementing school policies,
• To provide a high standard of teaching and assessment to cater for pupil needs to ensure progress, 
• To plan lessons using national curriculum guidelines and Islamise to deliver an integrated curriculum.
• To prepare appropriately differentiated work for the pupils and to organise and manage a classroom which facilitates effective teaching and learning and promotes independent learning in accordance with the aims of the school and policies.
• To mark, assess and respond to children’s work according to the school policy. To evaluate the learning of children regularly and produce a report at the end of each term highlighting progress and targets for improvement.
• To maintain good relations with pupils, parents and visitors to the school.
• To plan and co ordinate School Trips related to the curriculum with a clear learning objective.
• To play the role of a subject leader within the school. 

The ideal candidate should
• be educated to degree level  or hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) 
• be reliable and trustworthy
• have excellent communication skills
• be a motivated and determined individual with strong interpersonal skills
• have excellent organisational skills and able to work by using their own initiative
•  be a good team player
• committed to professional/personal development. 
 

Salary -  depending on level of experience, £14,000 - £16,000 per annum
